Connect Cardiff Ltd High speed internet providers

Bring your business up to speed with the latest advancements in broadband technology.....

Connect Cardiff's new architecture is the basis of a new communications model that converges data, voice and video over a common high-performance, optical based networking infrastructure.

The needs of E-Commerce, Internet-based businesses, remote working, data backup and multimedia streaming can only be met by optical IP networks, not legacy copper or cable infrastructure. The big engineering challenge, even for optical networks, is too meet customer requirements for guaranteed minimum bandwidth to ensure the proper performance of intensive applications such as streaming multimedia and latency-sensitive applications such as Voice-over-IP (VoIP)

Connect Cardiff uses Ethernet to carry IP packets over optical fibre. This offers tremendous advantages over traditional wide area services in terms of cost, network, simplicity, bandwidth scalability and provisioning time, without sacrificing reliability, quality of service or other essential network characteristics.

Connect Cardiff connects customers through a direct fibre link between their premises and the Connect Cardiff community fibre network. Connect Cardiff delivers it's service through an
RJ-45 Ethernet connection with easily scalable bandwidths ranging from 1 mbps to 1 Gbps.

The use of non-blocking gigabit devices throughout the network ensure regional latency of a few milliseconds or less, suitable for the most demanding delay-sensitive traffic. And the use of redundant fibre rings ensures network reliability and availability.

The architecture connects to the rest of the UK and potentially across the world by routing IP traffic at multiple peering points, through multiple interexchange carriers who adhere to strict Service Level Agreements (SLA's) such as the BT MPLS network.

.

Connect Cardiff does currently offer wireless (radio or optical) connections to more remote locations around our point of presence. Speeds on the wireless network are slightly slower from 2mbs to 622mbs, but still connect back to the main community fibre network.

In some instances wireless connections to customer premises are used as backup circuits to offer additional network resilience.
